I am a textile artist born and raised in Spain, now living in the USA. For over a decade my main focus was felt and feltmaking. I used 100% natural materials and sustainable raw materials, all with an emphasis on low- impact creative processes like reduced water consumption. Through my work my goal was to raise awareness of the problems of climate change, as well as the solutions we can embrace to mitigate the threats and adapt to a changing environment.

My artistic passion came alive when, as an adult, I discovered the art of felting. It was during that time too that I briefly learned surface design techniques. I learned how to create patterns by printing, stamping and stenciling. During the time I was a full time felter, I put aside my surface design and pattern-making knowledge. It was years later than I realized I was spending to much money on beautiful designed fabrics for nuno-felting. It was then when I started to design my own fabrics, still keeping alive the traditional techniques and methods.

Because of Covid-19, all my workshops around the world were cancelled and I started teaching online. All of the sudden, I had a lot more time to spare and I decided to learn how to create more patterns and designs but this time I was going to learn how to do it digitally. What you see in this website is my own exploration and experimentation through this self-taught phase.

“if there is one good thing that covid brought to my life is the learning of a new skill.”
