working on first collection

I still remember the smell and the sound of the two fabric stores I used to go to with my mom. My mom is a phenomenal sewer and she often made our clothes, copying styles from catalogues that we used to get in the mail. Buying the fabric was a lot cheaper than buying the actual the clothes, so at least once every two weeks I went with her to select fabrics. The stores were so full of bolts of fabrics that were soundproofed. That sensation of quietness and calm will always stay with me. Funny how 40 years later, here I am, creating and designing my first collection “Early Spring”. The learning curve is so steep right now that my brain hurts at time, but I am happy with what I have so far, and hopefully it will be done pretty soon so someone will be interested in licensing.
